Make Money with Makeup: Part 2

We’re back to Monday. Today I’d like to continue our conversation from last week with Danielle about making money with makeup.

Last week we talked about what Younique is and the quality of the products. To be honest, I hadn’t heard of it until she presented it to me – and I’m so glad she did! It’s an amazing company and the products are so good for my skin.

Today the interview continues with Danielle and we’ll talk about how easy it is to get started and how to make it work for you!

work at home with makeup... sounds good!

How much is it to get started?

Dee: “The startup investment is such a great value. For $99 you get a kit full of makeup valued at $225.

“Here’s what you get:

  • Full sized Addiction eye palette ($49 value)
  • New Self Tanning Lotion ($39 value)
  • Splurge cream eye shadow ($26 value)
  • Cream shadow brush ($15 value)
  • Angled Shadow/Sponge Brush ($15 value)
  • Shine Wipes ($20 value)
  • Shade stick ($12 value)

and

  • Samples of the face care system
  • Glorious primer
  • Liquid foundation
  • Bronzer
  • Eye pigments
  • Lip stains
  • Lip glosses
  • Blush

“It truly is an amazing value! Plus, it all comes in an awesome black Younique case that’s yours to keep.”

How do you find the time to promote and sell the products?

Dee: “I include my kids in the process! We are a team and it’s teaching them valuable lessons about business and just life in general.

“My son is “camera guy.” My daughter is the supervisor and comic relief, as she is usually somewhere making a face or sticking her tongue out.

“I will be honest, a lot of my videos and posts are pre-made. I just change shirts or switch rooms in the house and record them all in one sitting. Then I post them at different times and on different days.

“Facebook has a great feature that allows you to schedule when you want your post to publish. So sometimes I do it a day or two ahead if I know I have a lot going on.

“The rest of my promotion is just wearing the products and carrying a business card.

“Setting up fun gatherings with my friends so they can try the products is probably the best part to me. I get fun “girl time” to catch up and chat. It’s usually pretty casual.

“I am super excited tohave been asked to do my best friend’s daughter’s makeup for her wedding. I never thought I’d have great opportunities open up like this for me. And the best part is I’m having a blast doing it!”

How do I order?

Dee: “As a special for readers of the MarvelousMrs blog, I’m offering 10% off all orders placed by June 30 – but you have to contact me to get the special price. It isn’t available for online orders.

Don’t wait! Check out my online store and contact me with any questions.”

What’s the next step?

Dee: “If you’re interested at all in the products, or in starting your own Younique business, I’m happy to talk with you. There’s no pressure!

“Getting started now is the fastest way to increasing your income. Younique doesn’t make you wait for you money – you can have your profits sent to you in only three hours after your online sale! It’s incredible.

What do you think?

Did the company pique your interest? Or is a home-based business not your style?

Either way, I hope you enjoyed learning more about what Danielle does and how to balances building her own business on the side while raising a family.

See you next week!
